President of Kosovo Vjosa Osmani met on the sidelines of the Peace Summit for Ukraine in Switzerland with President of Montenegro Jakov Milatović and President of Switzerland Viola Amherd.
The President of Kosovo announced on Facebook that she spoke with Milatović "about the importance of alliance and coordination in the defense of democracy and peace."
At the same time, Osmani announced on Facebook that at the beginning of the summit, she met with the President of Switzerland, Viola Amherd, to whom she expressed her deep gratitude for Switzerland's continuous support to Kosovo.
"It is an honor to be here and to discuss the paths we can take to strengthen our ties," Osmani wrote.
She underlined the irreplaceable role of the Kosovo diaspora living and working in Switzerland.
"Our diaspora has a great influence on strengthening the partnership between Kosovo and Switzerland and we are determined to expand this cooperation in the future," added Osmani.
The two-day peace summit on Ukraine begins today in Switzerland with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and representatives of around 90 countries, with the announcement that it will represent a step on the path to peace.
It is a platform where world leaders discuss ways to help resolve the conflict in Ukraine and promote stability in the region.
As announced by her cabinet, the participation of the President of Kosovo at this summit proves Kosovo's commitment to international peace and security.
