The President of Nikšić Municipality, Marko Kovačević (NSD), said that those who do not want to be like brothers, but look like Turks, will be treated like Turks.
He said this on Thursday, during a speech at the commemoration of the 166th anniversary of the Battle of Grahovo, addressing, as he said, "former rulers and their followers".
Addressing the crowd, Kovačević pointed out that in the same place 166 years ago, as it is today, prayers were offered, liturgy and songs pleasing to God were sung.
"We know what the Battle of Grahova meant for Montenegro and the entire Serbian nation. Then the Montenegrins and Herzegovinans fought together on this field and they did not fight together for the last time, they also fought on Vučje dol and on Klobuk until the final liberation and unification came. Today, we who are from Montenegro and Herzegovina face the same tasks, and we must have the wisdom of our ancestors, but also their courage to achieve them the way they achieved them in Grahovac 166 years ago," said Kovačević at the time, reports RTNK.
It is not easy, Kovačević pointed out, because the winds often blow.
"Today teaches us to tie everything we do to heaven. And last year, someone asked these former rulers and their successors what did Spasovdan have to do with the Battle of Grahovačka. You can imagine how much they have to do with those people who defeated the Turks in the Battle of Grahova on the Day of the Savior. And it should always be in front of your eyes that they are unknown, that the path to the truth is simply not open to them and that they simply look more like a foreigner than themselves, which is what Njegoš used to say, "they trapped themselves in a foreign country". We will work to ensure that they also remember our old glory, that they also remember our ancestors, that they also offer a prayer to God together with us, as we offered it today and as the Christian warriors of the Serbian army of Montenegrins offered it. and Hercegovina in Grahovac 166 summers ago in this same place. We will be patient, we will always wait with an open heart and open hands asking if we are brothers. And if someone doesn't want us to be brothers, if someone wants to look more like the Turks, then by God, then in the future we will treat them like we treat the Turks," said Kovačević.
