Throughout history, Montenegro and Bulgaria have been through a lot together, and on that basis relations between the two countries should be built and improved, said the President of the Parliament of Montenegro Andrija Mandić.
Today he hosted a working lunch with the President of Bulgaria Rumen Radev.
In the conversation with Radev, Mandić pointed out that Montenegro highly values Bulgaria's support when it comes to the process of our country's accession to the EU.
"The President of the Republic of Bulgaria thanked for the meeting, emphasizing that Montenegro and Bulgaria are united by numerous historical ties. Radev added that Montenegro can learn from Bulgaria's example when it comes to the EU accession process, and that we can count on their support in the future as well. support", it was announced from the Parliament of Montenegro.
It is added that Mandić and Radev also discussed numerous infrastructure projects such as the valorization of the Port of Bar, the reconstruction of the Belgrade-Bar railway, the planned construction of the Adriatic-Ionian highway and corridor 8, as well as the development of the electric power sector.
The lunch was also attended by the Vice President of the Parliament of Montenegro Zdenka Popović, as well as MPs Zoja Bojanić-Lalović, Bojana Pićan and Oskar Huter, members of the Friendship Group of the Parliament of Montenegro with Bulgaria.
