Prime Minister Milojko Spajić's pathetic statement that no one gives up their children more easily than Montenegro could be paraphrased as saying that no one is more easily blackmailed than the current Montenegrin Prime Minister, Andrija Nikolić, head of the Democratic Party of Socialists (DPS) Deputies Club in the Parliament, announced today. Montenegro.
"The state of Montenegro will certainly not be the collateral damage of his survival in power at any cost," said Nikolić in the announcement.
He added that the demands of the President of the Assembly and the leader of the New Serbian Democracy (NSD) and the leader of the Democratic People's Party (DNP) Milan Knežević on the introduction of dual citizenship are the path to the disintegration of Montenegro and its disappearance.
"Initiating the issue of dual citizenship at this moment serves, on the one hand, to raise the declining ratings of Andrija Mandić and Milan Knežević in the 'greater Serbian world', and on the other hand, it represents another rotten compromise by Milojko Spajić, which he is counting on to ensure his survival in power for a few months," he said. Nikolic.
According to him, the introduction of dual citizenship carries numerous risks for a small country such as Montenegro, where a little over 400 adults live.
"Even much larger countries in Europe than Montenegro, such as Austria, Spain, the Netherlands, Estonia, Norway, Bulgaria, do not allow dual citizenship precisely to protect their sovereignty and integrity. We know that these two terms mean nothing in the value system of the current prime minister , who is only interested in sitting in the chair of the Prime Minister for as long as possible. That's why civil and democratic Montenegro is telling him: Spajić, don't play with the stability of Montenegro. We will never allow the disappearance of Montenegro," said Nikolić .
Earlier today, Spajić said that changes to the Law on Citizenship will not allow new citizens to vote in the next ten years.
Spajić's cabinet later said that changes to the Law on Citizenship will be made only after all protective legal mechanisms have been provided.
DPS MP Aleksandra Vuković Kuč announced that she thinks it's a shame that Spajić "renounces the country where he holds this position".
"...Because that act would indicate not only that he is an employee of Andrija Mandić, but also that he makes the biggest state decisions, such as the issue of the Law on Citizenship, for personal satisfaction, because he alone is unconstitutional," Vuković Kuč said in the announcement on the social network Iks.
