Čarapić: Živković confirmed that DPS will never renounce its anti-democratic achievements

Vasilije Čarapić, president of the Club of Deputies of the Europe Now Movement, said that the thesis of the leader of the Democratic Party of Socialists (DPS) Danijel Živković "that there is no price at which the DPS would sell the assets of previous political generations is proof that the DPS will never renounce its anti-democratic assets".

Čarapić also stated in the statement that "the reality that every citizen in Montenegro knows is that DPS has been a political sponsor of crime and corruption for decades", and that with his statements Živković confirms "that this is still their only political platform".

Živković said at the municipal election conference of the DPS Herceg Novi that that party will remain in the opposition "as long as it takes to not hand the country over to the nationalism of Veliko Srpska".

"Over one hundred and fifty thousand citizens of Montenegro and their families bear traces of the DPS heritage on their skin, which is reflected in the shutdown of dozens of productive factories and companies, because it was because of the DPS that they were forced to fight for bare life and existence. He added that the main asset of the DPS is "a deplorable system of values ​​that enabled criminals and tycoons to flourish and dress in Montenegro".

"And now, when justice finally arrives, when the bearers of the corrupt system end up behind bars, when it gets in the way of abuse of state resources for personal enrichment and when we are one step away from reaching the minimum European standard in the area of ​​the rule of law, DPS tries to present itself Danijel Živković himself does not believe in this manipulation, let alone a free citizen of Montenegro, because today it is clear to everyone that every glimmer of hope for a better tomorrow, every success of Montenegro, and every partnership and respect in international circles , the DPS is trying to make sense," Čarapić said.

He said that "the reality is that the citizens of Montenegro will have higher salaries and pensions, the benefits of the single market of the European Union, a fair judiciary and a secure job", and that the DPS "remains wandering in the past and defending various actors of the Sky application, which is the only they work in a deficit of constructive action".
