Živković: When the DPS disappears, it is easy to deal with Montenegro

When the Democratic Party of Socialists (DPS) disappears, then it will be easy to deal with Montenegro, announced the president of the DPS, Danijel Živković.

It was announced from DPS that Živković opened the Municipal Electoral Conference of DPS Šavnik, where members of the Municipal Board were elected.

Emphasizing that it is not important how many inhabitants there are in the territory of the municipality of Šavnik, but what is the strength and potential of the people, Živković expressed the wish that the strength and enthusiasm of Šavnik for the preservation of basic values ​​be transmitted throughout Montenegro.

"It is not easy for one policy to last for 33 years, and it is even more difficult that today, after changes at the state level, that policy is still the strongest political subject in Montenegro. Four years after the change of government, it is still present among our political opponents only one mission - to make the DPS disappear, because when the DPS disappears, it's easy to deal with Montenegro," Živković pointed out.

He added that Šavnik is "the best example of how to oppose such a policy and such an intention to collapse democratic principles and the rule of law".

"You opposed the government's attempt to implement what is their ultimate goal through the repressive apparatus. In Šavnik, you know very well how many attempts there were to hold elections - nine times. I would understand if someone wanted to come to power in a legitimate way, in the elections to measure the forces, so whoever wins takes power, whoever loses goes to the opposition," said Živković.

However, says the president of the DPS, "through dishonorable work, they are trying to prevent what is evident and inevitable that the DPS will continue to exercise power".

"They are aware of this, and that is why they are involved in the destruction of democracy. They make sense of the election process, and there is no adequate response from the prosecution. The Šavnica scenario is not an isolated case, it was a pilot project on how to act in other municipalities when they are not satisfied with the election result. You have an example Andrijevice, where the DPS could have taken over power a year ago, but a new model of political struggle was devised - inviting criminal circles, relatives and friends to come to the premises of the Assembly and prevent the holding of the session. In Ulcinj, when there is a change of government, they throw tear gas , and they said that we will prevent the formation of the government," Živković said

In his words, "wherever it happens that DPS needs to stay in power or take over positions of power, there you have force".

"There is no more democracy. It is clear that we will win in Šavnik and in the remaining two polling stations, but this government, headed by Milojko Spajić, has thought of solving this crisis by introducing forced administration. Today, the connection between nationalism and populism is a winning combination for the destruction of Montenegro," said Živković.

He said that the President of the Parliament of Montenegro and the leader of the New Serbian Democracy (NSD) Andrija Mandić is blackmailing the Prime Minister of Montenegro and the leader of the Europe Now Movement (PES) Milojko Spajić in order to implement the goals of his policy.

Spajić, according to Živković, accepts blackmail in order to remain prime minister.

"Let someone explain to me that the introduction of dual citizenship, in the way they are planning it, is the way for the survival of Montenegro. You know yourself, whoever gets citizenship after two years of residence gets the right to vote. 20.000 or 30.000 new citizens in a small country like Montenegro Gora is completely changing the ethnic picture and you have already established electoral engineering so that you no longer have to hold elections. If we add to that their methodology when they send 20.000 or 30.000 of those who have the right to vote in Montenegro, the fight becomes completely unequal do we want to live in a dignified, independent state or in a colony that would be managed from the outside," said Živković.

He pointed out that he has followed the work of the local self-government, and that he knows how dynamically Šavnik is developing, that it is necessary to implement projects worth four million, as well as that one of the largest energy investments is about to be implemented.

Because of this, he said, it becomes clear why Šavnik is so important to Spajić and Mandić.

"The President of Serbia says that he will work on the purchase of energy facilities in the region, Spajić is introducing a law by which in the future the Government will dispose of state property, not the Assembly. After they charge us once or twice, the next thing is to start selling state property, and that Montenegro is completely destroyed. It is fortunate that they cannot agree between themselves, from Andrijevica, to Podgorica. They cannot reconcile with each other they don't have to put up with us, because we will not give up the platform on which we have always been operating, which is anti-fascist, European and civil Montenegro," said the president of DPS.

He said that when the Municipal Electoral Conferences are over, he will devote himself to each municipality, that he will stay in each city for a few days.

"I will talk to the citizens, but not at party forums, but directly with both sympathizers and dissenters, because that's the only way to win," Živković concluded.
