The Ministry of Defense of Montenegro welcomes the decision of the North Atlantic Council (NAC) to appoint Marko Ruta as the future Secretary General of NATO.
It was announced on the official Instagram account of the Ministry of Defense.
"After 10 years of amazing leadership by Jens Stoltenberg, it will be a great responsibility for Mr. Rute to lead the Alliance in very challenging geopolitical circumstances. We are confident that his experience and knowledge will contribute to the credibility and strength of the Alliance," the Ministry of Defense stated on Instagram with photos of the Minister of Defense of Montenegro Dragan Krapović and Rute.
NATO has officially appointed outgoing Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte as its new Secretary General. The 57-year-old will succeed Norwegian Jens Stoltenberg at the beginning of October.
