Dragan Đurović, the former Minister of Internal Affairs, Deputy Prime Minister and deputy of the Democratic Party of Socialists (DPS), died today at the age of 65.
Đurović was the Vice-President of the Government of Montenegro in the period from 2001 to 2007, when he was also the Minister of Internal Affairs (from 2003 - 2005) and Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs (from May 2002 to January 2003).
He was also the director of the newspaper and publishing company Pobjeda (1995–2001), a member of the Assembly of Serbia and Montenegro and a member of the Assembly of the Republic of Montenegro.
From 2009 to 2021, he served as director of the Civil Aviation Agency of Montenegro.
He was also a member of the Coordination Committee of the European Civil Aviation Conference (ECAC).
Đurović will be buried on Saturday in Danilovgrad, in the village of Viš.
