The commemorative session on the occasion of the death of the former member of the Parliament of Montenegro, Dragan Đurović, will be held on Saturday, June 29, in the Plenary Hall of the Parliament, starting at 9.30:XNUMX a.m., the Assembly announced.
Đurović died yesterday at the age of 65.
According to the website of the Civil Aviation Agency (ACV), he was the head of that institution from 2009 to 2021.
In one period, from May 2017, he served as a member of the Coordination Committee of the European Civil Aviation Conference (ECAC).
He was also a member of the Founding Board of the Joint Aviation Authority Training Organization (JAA TO), an affiliated body of ECAC with a long tradition of training in the aviation industry.
"This was also a significant recognition for Montenegro, because for the first time it had a representative in the management structures of one of the European aviation institutions. In the Civil Aviation Agency, he will be remembered as an experienced manager, with clear visions and commitment to the development of safety and security of air traffic." it says on the site.
Đurović, who was a law graduate, chaired the Board of Airports of Montenegro from February 2007 to November 2009.
He was the Vice-President of the Government of Montenegro from 2001 to 2007. During that period, he held the position of Minister of Internal Affairs from 2003 to 2005, and was acting Minister of Foreign Affairs from May 2002 to January 2003.
He chaired the sessions of the Government of Montenegro from November 5 to January 8, 2003.
He was elected twice as a member of the House of Citizens of the Assembly of Serbia and Montenegro and five times as a member of the Democratic Party of Socialists in the Assembly of Montenegro.
Dragan Đurović was, among other things, the director of the newspaper and publishing company Pobjeda from 1995 to 2001.
