"Conciliators" say that Montenegro should not be a civil society, but a society of constituent peoples, Montenegrin and Serbian, the others should be on the sidelines, announced the president of the Democratic Party of Socialists (DPS), Danijel Živković.
DPS announced that at the municipal election conference, DPS Gusinje elected members of the municipal board. and the conference was opened by Živković.
"Today, Montenegro is going through a difficult period where the authorities are acting against the state, which is a rare example in the world. Every day they show whose interests they are working for. They don't even hide that today, at least they did before August 30. Montenegro has always was open to anyone of any religion and nation, and there is no life here without civil harmony. Our country is a multinational, civil society that belongs to everyone, and that is the only way they can convince us that Montenegro should be reconciled, we don't know who we should be reconciling with. We didn't threaten anyone's rights and say that this is not someone's house. Even today, they say that Montenegro should not be reconciled to be a civil society, but a society of constituent nations, Montenegrin and Serbian, the others should be on the sidelines, we should change the Constitution - language, symbols, they are not for NATO, they say we should be part of the EU, i.e. they want EU salaries, but to celebrate retrograde ideas, and that's not Europe," said Živković.
He added that "today we have a frivolous and unstable government".
"If we look at the previous political generations, regardless of all the political differences, it was a completely different relationship both in the parliament and outside it, someone was the government, someone was the opposition, but it was a system of seriousness and responsibility. The story of endangerment is selling fog to people , in order to persevere in the stories of threats in Montenegro. Today, nationalism and populism are in a tight relationship with Montenegro. The most important thing is to be part of the government in every coalition, even to the detriment of the state. For us, this is not the most important thing, regardless of the goal of every opposition to replace a bad government. We will only show that we deserve the attention of the public and on the basis of that, we will come to power again, in the elections. no other way," said the DPS president.
Živković said that the DPS realized its mistakes and that everyone is ready to work to eliminate those mistakes.
"Education system, health system, economy based on real foundations. How are we going to bring investors to Gusinje, not for sure by witnessing fights in the government every day and expectations that the government will fall, that we have unstable local governments. Serious investors will not come where they don't have security and stability. Today, uneducated, uneducated people are in power who are eager for privileges and think that you can live by not working," said Živković.
According to him, DPS is today, according to all relevant research, the strongest political entity.
"The media frenzy, political revanchism, the formation of new parties, the settlement through Belgrade is not successful, the battle through Nikšić with black funds and 12 million euros is not successful, nothing is successful. It will not succeed. If Andrija Mandić or Milojko Spajić intended to deal with Montenegro in the way they have devised a quiet way, the DPS will prevent that. Not only with discussions in the Parliament, not with replicas and procedures, but with an adequate citizen's response, which this type of government deserves," said Živković.
He pointed out that the Municipal Board of DPS in Gusinje has shown that it is successful, "regardless of the fact that we are not the government at the local and state level".
"In Gusinje, there is a strong foundation for civil, European and state-building politics. In the next elections, we will show strength and be a constituent of the government, both thanks to the people who live here, and thanks to our diaspora, which mercilessly and unquestioningly stands at the forefront of Montenegro's interests, monitors the situation and he understands well what is happening in Montenegro today," said Živković.
