Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić asked Montenegrin President Jakov Milatović and Prime Minister Milojko Spajić whether he was the creator of the resolution on the genocide in Jasenovac and whether he pressured them to adopt that document in the Montenegrin parliament.
"I am asking them to go public and explain to their Croatian and Western friends, to whom they apologize day and night, explaining that it was a big mistake, to tell me why they committed that mistake and to explain to people that they were joking when they said that with it has something to do with Belgrade and me personally," Vučić said at a press conference.
He said that he never called them by phone, nor the President of the Assembly Andrija Mandić.
The journalist, asking a question to Vučić, said that the Croatian media "wrote that your dark plan to create a Serbian Belarus in Montenegro is hidden behind the resolution on Jasenovac".
"Whenever Serbia would raise its head, whenever Serbia would not be humiliated, whenever Serbia would not agree to serve other people's interests, but to carry out self-punishment, to agree to the phantasmagorical catharsis through which it has to go through its supposed own criminal and bad behavior in the previous period, and that cathartic behavior must always last for decades and centuries, even if no one has explained to you why it is so... Therefore, whenever Serbia rose economically, it represented a political factor that is no longer completely insignificant, and when its politicians would no longer just say 'sorry for killing us,' as ours used to say until recently about Jasenovac, Jadovno... a coalition would always be formed in the region, sometimes made up of some, sometimes of others, but some would always be present, like Croatia," said Vučić.
He says that "they have written" more texts about him since the beginning of the year in their media than about the president and prime minister of Croatia combined.
"It speaks volumes not only about their obsession, but also something good about me," he added.
He referred to the allegations about the resolution on Jasenovac.
"Since it is a shame for them, big and strong, that small Montenegro does something as they think, of course the culprit must be Vučić, who will? Just as Sarajevo cannot always be blamed for Banja Luka, it must always be Vučić, because they are much strong and big, as for Banja Luka to cause them a problem, Vučić must be the one," said the President of Serbia.
He says that "from the Montenegrin leadership, people tell foreign representatives who inform me that the resolution on Jasenovac was passed under pressure from Belgrade", that they must not say his name, "since they know it would be an obvious lie, but they want to make everyone believe that I am and then they tell them - well, you know, it's because of those from the north, from here to there..."
"I ask the President of Montenegro and the Government if he ever called them on the phone to ask them anything, put any pressure on them and if my idea was the resolution on Jasenovac. Be specific and don't mislead the public anymore, or was it your idea to explain to the people in Montenegro, after accepting the shameful resolution on Srebrenica, that you will find something to get away with. Even after that, I did not ask you many times, nor did I ask you at all, when I saw Spajić I asked him what you were going to do to work with it, he said - yes, we adopt, the most normal. I never called them, not even my friend, the Serb, not once. You see how it is when you are dealing with liars it seems. Why is it necessary and possible, because Serbia must be the culprit. You must always say - those are the little Russians, even though it is clear to everyone that we are only Serbs, a small people who want their freedom, and not to be a stump, nor to serve Russians, Americans, Europeans or anyone else. At least that's how it is as far as the leadership of Serbia is concerned," said Vučić.
But, he says, that story will continue.
"I remind you that whenever we were close to an important agreement, world and European politicians would always make a tour of the region, questioning everyone else who would tell them that the problem is in Belgrade. Then I show up at the meeting and they tell me - we can't, Alexander, you see, those down here, in the east... they think it's bad. They just serve the interests of the big ones, they try to please them and tell them what they like to hear , the fact that some in the West like to hear that Vučić exerted pressure, they don't even tell them directly, because they know that I would also find out, so they would be accused of being liars, but they are pointing you north, up, that it is clear to everyone, and then they feel sorry for their difficult fate, is it possible that Vučić is such a villain, that he is putting so much pressure on you... I ask them - are you ashamed of the resolution you have brought to yourself? proposed, they brought it themselves, are you ashamed", stated Vučić.
He says that he does not think that the resolution on Jasenovac is bad.
"I think the previous one is bad, I don't see that they are ashamed of it, and 109 countries in the world are ashamed of that resolution. As for Croatia, I wish them many more articles, the more they write against me, the more I will be convinced that I am doing a very good job for his country," said the President of Serbia.
