DPS: Laković to resign and protect himself, PES and the citizens from the humiliation that Spajić is giving them

The Parliamentary Club of the Democratic Party of Socialists (DPS) called on Miodrag Laković, MP of the Europe Now Movement, who is also the Chairman of the Security and Defense Committee, to submit his irrevocable resignation from that position and protect himself and his Parliamentary Club from "further compromises and humiliations exposed by their party chief Milojko Spajić".

"The new escape of Spajić from the control hearing in the parliament, due to the illegal decisions he made in the security sector, is an indicator of disrespect towards citizens and misunderstanding of the role of the Assembly. It is not a question of Spajić's will whether he will attend the scheduled control hearing before the Committee, but it is his obligation , and if he can't accept that, he should have stayed in Singapore and engaged in private business, rather than sitting in the position of Prime Minister and not doing what is in his job description," the DPS announced.

Spajić will not come to the control hearing before the Parliamentary Committee for Security and Defense scheduled for July 16, and his office has announced that the Prime Minister is unable to attend the Committee's session due to "already undertaken obligations".

"The exposure of Milojko Spajić's character and his acceptance that, just because of self-interest and his own chair, he degrades the role of prime minister to such an extent, that he acts like Andrija Mandić's color elevator, must not reflect on the controlling role of the legislative branch. Spajić knows that by avoiding coming to the Assembly, the citizens who is paying, but he doesn't have to think about the consequences, because he is arranging the introduction of nationalists and right-wingers into his government. There is no chair that is worth accepting the humiliating status that Spajić imposes on Miodrag Laković and his deputies, asking them to defend the indefensible. We will see if there is someone left in PES who is capable of ending that torture. Laković is on the move," announced DPS.
