The Vice-President of the Assembly Zdenka Popović said that the delegation of that institution, headed by her, will go to Srebrenica on July 11, when the Day of Remembrance of the Genocide in Srebrenica is celebrated.

At today's parliamentary session, Popović invited her colleagues from other parliamentary clubs to delegate representatives.

The head of the Club of Deputies of the Bosniak Party (BS), Amer Smailović, said that this parliamentary group sent a letter to the Speaker of the Assembly Andrija Mandić today, with the question of how the Parliament will commemorate July 11 - the Day of Remembrance of the Genocide in Srebrenica".

"Considering that day is approaching and considering the resolution adopted by the Assembly on June 17, 2021, which states, among other things, that the institutions of Montenegro must respect that day," he said, adding that Montenegro also committed to mark that date by voting for the Resolution on the Genocide in Srebrenica in the General Assembly of the United Nations (UN).

Smailović welcomed the answer sent to him by Popović.

The Vice-President of the Assembly reminded that that anniversary is celebrated in Podgorica in the memorial park on Pobrežje.
