The president of the Democratic Party of Socialists (DPS), Danijel Živković, said that the party was aware of the details of the information that the assassination of the former president of Montenegro, Milo Đukanović, was being prepared.
"We are familiar with the details, we know what it refers to. I also believe that the state authorities will be able to say more. It is not up to us to comment on those details and communicate our findings. We believe that the National Security Agency (ANB) and other state authorities will come out with precise information," said Živković at the press conference.
He added that "this is not something new that is happening in Montenegro".
"What we had to hear in the previous period of time and what you had the opportunity to read today is a message to Montenegro and to all those who are fighting for an independent, European Montenegro that they will be targeted by those policies, values and states that want to Gora is diverted from the Euro-Atlantic road," said Živković.
The former president of Montenegro, Milo Đukanović, informed Montenegrin competent authorities that he received information that an assassination attempt was being prepared against him, his office informed "Vijesta".
A source close to Đukanović said that a high-ranking foreign military official from Kosovo informed him that an organized criminal group from a neighboring country was allegedly planning to carry out an assassination, in conjunction with the security services of another neighboring country.
