The attempted coup d'état did not happen only for the High Court, announced today the spokesman of the Democratic Party of Socialists (DPS), Miloš Nikolić.
He reacted to the announcement of the Association of Judges, which states, among other things, that the statements of Nikolić and GI on May 21 violate the division of state power and undermine judicial independence.
"The response of a certain Association of Judges, I must admit that it caught me and surprised me. Not only because of the cheap and superficial content, but above all because it took me some time to remember which Association it was about. I state this for the reason that I cannot remember such attempts to play off the pride and seemingly brave defense of Montenegrin judges when a significant part of the public and almost the entire opposition at the time attacked Suzana Mugoš for years, while the obscure IN4S, whose owner is now the rector of the University of Montenegro, has been promoting the reality show "Kod Suzana" for years. , while private recordings of her family members were published and while the accused in the coup d'état case insulted her in the most mundane way, the Association remained stoically silent," said Nikolić in a statement.
He added that "he also cannot remember a more significant reaction when the famous 'hand of justice' came down on the investigating judge during the arrest of the Krstović family and when the judge Radomir Ivanović - who assessed that there were no grounds for detention (and which was later acquitted confirmed as correct) called the judge of the mafia".
"Also, the same 'hand of justice' walked on you and contaminated the evidence in the case of the famous tunnel that was dug to the depot of the High Court, and you, by allowing it, became not only an accomplice in his PR nonsense, but also in the fact that not a day today we do not have the responsibility of those who humiliated you in such a public and undisclosed way by stealing evidence from the court depot. This brings us to the case I commented on - the coup d'état. Neither the Socialist Party, nor I as its spokesperson, have the intention of entering into the individual details of the cases and we comment on who should be sentenced to how many years in prison. But the fact that Zoran Radović acquitted all the accused in this case with - as he would say - a 'grotesque' explanation of the verdict, actually shows that the coup attempt is only for The high court did not happen. The timely statement of Michael Pence - the vice president of the USA, the evidence provided by the strongest Western services from America to Great Britain, the testimony of the current president of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić, as well as the plea agreements of the persons who participated in the attempt, along with the indictment of "several hundred parties, with which even this and this type of prosecution remained, were not enough for Zoran Radović to find responsibility for even one of the accused," said Nikolić.
He said that in the end, the judicial branch of government represents one of the most important parts of the system.
"And precisely because of this, its role in the state is of immeasurable importance, which clearly implies that it is a constant target of monitoring and monitoring the quality control of work by other social entities. This is why it is especially dangerous when the same judiciary, in a brutal way - as was done recently by the verdict, it betrays the state's interests and legitimizes any subsequent attempt to overthrow the constitutional order in Montenegro, start a civil war and seize power by force. . year - that is, the liquidation of former state president Milo Đukanović," said Nikolić.
He also stated that because of all the above, they have not and will not remain silent.
"Finally, if you want your integrity to be respected - you must first show that you have it at all. Everything you have done in the last few years, and I have listed only a small part of it in my answer, argues exactly the opposite. In the hope that we will continue this correspondence , I have prepared the rest for one of the following addresses, because we have only just begun with criticism and comments," Nikolić concluded.
On July 12, Andrija Mandić, Milan Knežević and the others were acquitted of charges in the case known as "coup d'état", that is, attempted terrorism on the day of the 2016 parliamentary elections.
The verdict was pronounced by the Council of the High Court in Podgorica headed by Zoran Radović.
