Nikola Jovanović, the holder of the "Budva our city" list at the last local elections in Budva, called on the Europe Now Movement to accept the "invitation of representatives of 15 councilors" and to establish a local government as soon as possible.
EPS representatives did not come tonight to the meeting on the formation of the government in Budva, to which leaders Jovanović, Petar Odžić (SDP) and Blažo Radjenović (URA) invited them.
"I want to inform the public that, following the previously sent invitation by our three electoral lists, tonight we had a constructive conversation with the representatives of the electoral list 'Democrats - Strengthen, restore, revive', during which it was stated that there is political will among us for the constitution of a local government. Unfortunately , the representatives of the Europe Now Movement did not respond to the call. Considering that the representatives of fifteen councilors attended the meeting and that two potential PES councilors are missing for the formation of the government, it is clear that this political entity is taking responsibility for further political events in Budva," announced Jovanović.
They believe, he adds, that a possible repeat of the election would significantly jeopardize the implementation of the tourist season, "which has repercussions on the local and national budget" and that the citizens of Budva and Montenegro would suffer the greatest damage.
"Our city and local government are in a delicate political moment and very important decisions are pending due to the constitution of the government, such as the Program for temporary locations, the Decision on budget rebalancing, the amendment of the investment plan and the amendment of the Public Procurement Plan, as well as the adoption of other strategically important decisions. which is why we believe that there is no time to lose and no space to avoid political responsibility," said Jovanović.
"Given that PES, as the largest constituent of the state government, initiated the introduction of forced administration, which resulted in the calling of local elections, we believe that PES, as an entity whose two councilors are missing for the constitution of the government, has a special and additional responsibility to accept the invitation of representatives for the sake of the citizens of Budva 15 councilors and to establish a local government as soon as possible," he concluded.
