The President of the Municipality of Šavnik, Jugoslav Jakić, congratulated his fellow citizens on the Day of the Municipality, wishing that, as he said, no one would extinguish the light of freedom.
"The only way to succeed is to love what you do. I believe that love is the driving force of both me and my team, and that thanks to that we all strive together for a better and more beautiful Šavnik, where there will be room for all generations and all nations. "In the previous year, we worked diligently and persistently to achieve the set goals, even though it was the biggest challenge so far," said Jakić.
On the occasion of the Municipal Day, the local administration prepared a program in cooperation with the Center for Culture, Sports and Media in Šavnik and the local Tourism Organization of the municipality.
Tonight, Peđa Jovanović and Dženan Lončarević will perform on Šavnica Square, and the opening of the Film Festival in Borislav Pekić's house is also planned. The festival, which will last until July 26, is organized by the Šavnik Center for Culture, Sports and Media in cooperation with the Film Center of Montenegro, and visitors will have the opportunity to watch film screenings under a clear sky from tomorrow evening until July 26.
