At the request of the councilors' clubs of the parliamentary majority, the continuation of the session of the Nikšić Municipal Assembly (SO), which was supposed to be held today, will be held on Thursday, July 25.

As explained by the president of SO Nikšić, Nemanja Vuković, some councilors have to attend the session of the state parliament, which is why they asked for the continuation of the session to be postponed.
Opposition councilors did not appear at the session this morning.
Today, the session of the Nikšić Municipal Council was supposed to continue, which was interrupted on July 18, after the opposition councilors interrupted the work of the local parliament, dissatisfied that Vuković did not allow them to express their position regarding the non-vote that the initiative on the removal of the President of the Municipality, Marko Kovačević, included in the agenda.
Vuković referred to a violation of the rules of procedure, while the president of the Club "European Team for Nikšić", Boris Muratović, asked that, in accordance with the current practice, they be allowed three minutes to present their position.
As this did not happen, the opposition councilors occupied the space in front of the lectern and the SO president's table, saying that they would allow the continuation of the session only after they were allowed to speak. Vuković took a break, and an agreement was reached at the collegium to continue the session today.
There should have been two items on the agenda - a proposal for a decision on amending the Decision on leasing land through the collection of bids for the installation of temporary facilities in accordance with the Decision on the adoption of a program of temporary facilities on the territory of the municipality of Nikšić, as well as information on the implementation of social policy in the municipality. Nikšić in 2023.
Two items to supplement the agenda were proposed, but due to the interruption of the session, no vote was taken on whether they should be included in the agenda. These are points related to the accession to the Agreement of Mayors for Climate and Energy and the development of an Action Plan for Sustainable Energy and Climate, as well as the election of a new president of the jury for the awarding of the Nikšić Liberation Award, since Dr. Marko Mitrović, due to previously assumed obligations, resigned .
Democratic Montenegro, from whose ranks Mitrović is, proposed that his place be taken by prof. Dr. Miroslav Doderović.
