The president of the Democratic Action Party (SDA), and former chairman of the Presidency of the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bakir Izetbegović, supported the decision of the Bosniak Party (BS) to be part of the Government of Montenegro, BS announced.
"Montenegro is a country where Bosniaks are a constitutive and equal people, it is also their country, and thus their state, its government and institutions. Bosniaks have the right, but also the obligation, to participate in the work of the Montenegrin government, regardless of the political parties that are in it, their rhetoric and political views. We in Bosnia and Herzegovina regularly join governments with parties with whom we have opposing views on many important political issues," said Izetbegović and added that this is inevitable given the complexity of the relationship. , attitudes and interests.
Izetbegović also pointed out that Bosniaks have always brought stability to the government in Montenegro.
"Bosniak representatives in the Government of Montenegro have always brought a positive component when it comes to stability, security and the process of reconciliation between the peoples and states of the Balkans, as well as a preponderance when it comes to Montenegro's progress towards membership in Euro-Atlantic associations. I am convinced that with 44th government of Montenegro to be like that," says Izetbegović.
