The member of Prava Montenegro in the Assembly of the Capital City and the head of the PCG-DNP-RP members' club, Stefan Vešović, said that in the special elections in Podgorica, "he will break up the coalition of DPS formed yesterday with our political comrades of yesterday".
Extraordinary elections in Podgorica can be called this week, and some parties have started coalition negotiations even earlier, because the dissolution of the local parliament was almost certain months ago.
"Yesterday, in the Assembly of Podgorica, we had the opportunity to watch how the opposition, together with our former colleagues, overthrew the government. Despite the exhaustive discussions we had with our colleagues, no one could announce a single valid reason for what they call the return of the mandate to the citizens, and we call it an escape. from responsibility. However, what is completely clear is that the parliamentary opposition led by the DPS, in cooperation with a few councilors from the parliamentary majority, is forming an unnatural coalition in order to satisfy personal interests and vanity," Vešović said.
He added that none of this has anything to do with the citizens of Podgorica, "who this time serve as collateral damage in personal settlements".
"As someone who for the past year and a half has made a maximum contribution to the work of the Assembly of the Capital City, as a councilor, head of the club of councilors of the True Montenegro, the Democratic People's Party and the Workers' Party, the president of the Finance Committee, I have a moral obligation to praise all my colleagues who yesterday they decisively said 'no' to the DPS. Some parties are no strangers to fraud and betrayal. We have had many examples in the sad political history, from Drago Đurović and many others "The ultimate political fate of such marginal political figures is political anonymity, which came after five minutes of alleged fame," Vešović said.
The official of Prava also states that this time, "with all those who rudely trampled on the word given to the citizens of Podgorica yesterday that they will work in their best interest and that they will not make arrangements with those who devastated our city for decades".
