The President of the Assembly Andrija Mandić said that no well-intentioned person could have thought that modern Croatia would be identified with the Independent State of Croatia.
He said this at today's session in response to the head of the Democratic Party of Socialists (DPS) deputies' club, Andrija Nikolić, who assessed that Croatia's message means that Prime Minister Milojko Spajić can be next, but also that with this parliamentary majority, there is no entry into the European Union (EU).
Croatia has declared Parliament Speaker Mandić, MP Milan Knežević and Deputy Prime Minister Aleksa Bečić undesirable "due to systematic actions to disrupt good neighborly relations and continuous abuse of the Republic of Croatia for internal political purposes".
Mandić pointed out that, although they are surprised, Montenegro will not take any reciprocal measures.
"From the whole clamor that Croatia will cause collective damage to Montenegro, everything came down to one reaction related to three politicians," he said.
He added that after the adoption of the Resolution on Genocide in the Jasenovac, Dachau and Mauthausen camp system, he invited the President of the Croatian Parliament to visit Montenegro in order to clear up all doubts, and that this invitation still stands.
"By adopting the Resolution, Montenegro made a great step forward in civilization and I want to express my satisfaction that all the members of the Assembly, regardless of whether they voted for it or not, announced that what happened in Jasenovac was genocide," said the head of parliament.
He invited all members of the Croatian Parliament, the government and all citizens to visit Montenegro.
Nikolić told Mandić that "he knows the decisions of the Government in advance", because he stated that "there will be no reciprocal measures", but also that the adoption of the Resolution was done on the orders of the President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić.
Mandic replied that the things happening in the Montenegrin parliament have nothing to do with the president of Serbia.
URA GP MP Filip Adžić said that international partners did not need two full days to understand the character of the new government.
"If there is a desire to continue the European path, I think that someone should resign today. I think least of all about you, Mr. Mandić, because you lead the declared policy that you lead. You said some things today that I think should be on behalf of of the parliament to apologize to the citizens of our neighboring country, identifying the policy that they pursued today with the policy of the NDH, which certainly should not be heard from this parliament," said the deputy GP URA.
