Asking for the postponement of the session of the Capital City Assembly when there are important items on the agenda due to the obligations of the members of the Europe Now Movement (PES) at the state level is, to say the least, pointless, the Movement for Podgorica announced.
The session of the Capital City Assembly was postponed at the request of PES deputy Branislav Radicevic because, as he said, the councilors were absent due to other commitments.
"Today, for the umpteenth time, PES neglected the interests of the citizens of Podgorica - due to politicking at the state level. This is another proof of our claim, which we stated during the negotiations, which is that Podgorica exclusively serves them as an object of embezzlement at the state level , and they are making the citizens of Podgorica victims of their bad state policy," the announcement states.
They say that asking for the postponement of the session when such important items of the agenda are on the back burner - such as enabling the payment of taxes electronically or the decision on the organization of the New Year's bazaar, due to obligations at the state level, is pointless, to say the least.
"We just hope that these state obligations are not bound by the fact that their party president is at the Olympic Games in Paris - so he did not get to approve them, that they are still allowed to deal with Podgorica and its interests. The Movement for Podgorica acted collegially regarding the postponement, but it will remain consistent with what he promised to the citizens, both during the full and technical mandate, which is that the citizens of Podgorica and their interest must come first," the Movement said.
