By receiving a positive IBAR, Montenegro has shown that commitment to reforms brings results and that this, a key step forward on the European path, represents an incentive for other candidate countries, they agree. Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Montenegro Ervin Ibrahimović and Ambassador of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) to Montenegro Branimir Jukić.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MVP) announced that Ibrahimović met with Jukić today.
"During the conversation, it was noted that the two countries nurture friendly relations, additionally strengthened by common foreign policy priorities in terms of regional cooperation and European integration. It was mutually assessed that stability and security are a prerequisite for the further prosperity of all countries in the region, and that good neighborly relations and European integration are key to further economic and infrastructural development," the statement of the MFA emphasizes.
The government department added that the importance of speeding up the negotiation process with the European Union (EU) was also discussed, bearing in mind that all the countries of the Western Balkans share a European perspective.
