Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Ervin Ibrahimović met today, in separate meetings, with the ambassadors of the Republic of North Macedonia, Zećir Ramčilović, the Czech Republic, Janin Hrebičkov, and the Hungarian Jožef Neđeši.
"At the meeting with Ambassador Ramčilović, it was confirmed that Montenegro and North Macedonia have excellent bilateral relations, which are characterized by active political dialogue and dynamic cooperation in numerous areas on the bilateral level. During the conversation, the importance of cooperation within NATO, where the two countries contribute greater visibility and representation of topics that are particularly important from the aspect of the security of the Western Balkans. In addition to the strong partnership within the NATO alliance, joint foreign policy priorities in terms of regional cooperation and European integration were also emphasized, which additionally contributes to the strengthening of friendly ties perspective, the best way to improve the standard of living and ensure the sustainable development of the countries of the Western Balkans, which, among other things, will contribute to stopping the trend of emigration of young people from the region," the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement.
During Ibrahimović's meeting with Hrebičkova, it was pointed out that Montenegro and the Czech Republic have very good and friendly relations, as well as excellent cooperation and a strong partnership within NATO.
"With expressions of gratitude for the political expert assistance of the Czech Republic to the European integration of Montenegro, he emphasized that Montenegro greatly appreciates that the Czech Republic remains a promoter and advocate of the interests of the Western Balkans in the European Union, and that with its proactive approach it strives to contribute to the efficiency of the enlargement process. Speaking about other topics from domain of bilateral relations, interest was expressed in achieving more intensive cooperation in the fields of defense, internal affairs, transport, energy, environmental protection, education and science," said the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
In the conversation with the ambassador of Hungary, Neđeši, it was confirmed that the two countries nurture meaningful bilateral relations, additionally strengthened by dynamic political dialogue at the highest and highest level and allied cooperation within NATO.
"Vice President Ibrahimović thanked for the significant expert and political support that Hungary provides to Montenegro's European path, and in the context of the current presidency of the Council of the EU, he pointed out that Hungary is among the countries that are strongly committed to the enlargement policy and membership of Montenegro and other countries of the region in the EU. During the meeting, the future direction of bilateral economic cooperation was also discussed, with a focus on infrastructure projects and improvement of the business environment," the announcement concludes.
