The Municipal Committee of the Democratic Party of Socialists (DPS) Nikšić announced today that local officials have been fighting since early dawn instead of explaining to the citizens why they are again illegally dumping waste on the site of the Željezara.
DPS Nikšić said that a few days ago the President of Nikšić Municipality Marko Kovačević and the Minister of Ecology, Sustainable Development and Development of the North Damjan Ćulafić announced that the Mislov do landfill is closing and that the garbage is being taken to the landfill in Podgorica.

"We ask: that's why, two 'innovators', why was the garbage unloaded again in the halls of Željezara last night under the cover of night and with private security? Why are they deceiving the public again, especially the citizens of Nikšić? We ask: do they have a permit from the Environmental Protection Agency to go there We ask that they show the public the permits, but also the contracts with the owner of the garbage dump. But, dear citizens, neither you nor we will get answers, because in the Municipality, instead of dealing with these issues, they they start with fights, and the police have to intervene, and the vice-presidents end up in the hospital because of the blows they received. That's what it looks like when the indignation behind the chairs prevails, and due to the insatiability of the local rulers, they start defending their positions. In conclusion: let us know that they know what shame is , we would tell them to be ashamed. This way, they are ashamed of the city where, unfortunately, they were given the opportunity to decide the fate of the citizens", writes DPS Nikšić in a statement.
