The relations between Montenegro and the Netherlands are friendly and allied, it was said at the meeting of the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Ervin Ibrahimović and the Dutch Ambassador Joust Reintjes, and the importance of achieving more dynamic cooperation was pointed out.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MVP) announced that Ibrahimović received Reintjes today for a farewell visit.
He thanked the ambassador for his remarkable engagement, dedication and contribution to the development and strengthening of Montenegrin-Dutch relations during his mandate.
"With the assessment that the relations between the two countries are good, friendly and allied, the importance of their further improvement and more dynamic cooperation was pointed out, primarily through the intensification of political dialogue and the exchange of visits at the highest level," the statement said.
It is stated that it has been assessed that there is significant scope for strengthening cooperation, especially in the fields of defense, energy, tourism and infrastructure.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs said that in the conversation it was established that Montenegro and the Netherlands, as allies in NATO, cooperate intensively in areas of importance for collective security.
As they said from that government department, the importance of the support provided by the Netherlands to the process of Montenegro's accession to the European Union was highlighted.
"In this regard, Ibrahimović emphasized that the 44th Government remains committed to the defined foreign policy priorities and that European integration has no alternative," the announcement states.
