Member of the Bosniak Party (BS) in the Assembly of the Municipality of Rožaje Edita Dedeić Šahman, she left that party and announced that she would act independently in the future.
Dedeić Šahman was previously the president of the Women's Forum of the Bosniak Party in Rožaje for two mandates, and in earlier convocations she was a councilor of the BS, a member of the Main Board of the party, but also a member of the Bosniak Council in Montenegro.
"The Bosniak party has lost the principles on which it built its foundations during the establishment and construction of the party. In the future, I will act as an independent councilor exclusively in the interest of the citizens of Rožaj, who are increasingly dissatisfied with the activities of the Bosniak Party," Dedeić Šahman told "Vijesta".
"Vijesti" was informed by BS that Dedeić Šahman has not yet formally left the party.
"If it comes to that, we will call on her to return the mandate to the party, which she won as part of the winning list of BS in Rožaje, in accordance with above all moral political principles," said the party headed by her Ervin Ibrahimovic, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs.
According to the unofficial information of "Vijesti", the shedding of members of the Bosniak Party continued within the Municipal Committee (OO) in Bar, where allegedly more than a dozen members of that party in Bar publicly submitted a request to disband from the party, dissatisfied with the entry of BS into the Government, which they part of pro-Serbian parties (New Serbian Democracy and Democratic People's Party).
However, BS claims that only two members informed them in writing that they are no longer members of the Bar Committee.
"Due to the information that dozens of members left the BS in Bar, we want to inform the public that these are false and malicious claims. This is supported by the fact that OO BS Bar was approached in writing by two members of the Board, who informed the management of OO that they were no longer members of the board. Therefore, it is about two members of the OO, and by no means about dozens of members, as they want to present themselves to the public", it was announced from BS.
According to "Vijesti" information, he resigned from the position of president of the Local Board BS Zaljevo Kamber Karađuzović, who was also a member of the Executive Board of the BS in Bar.
The Bosniak Party announced that they are a political entity that expands and increases every day, and individual events certainly cannot in any way disrupt the political idea and thought implemented by the party.
They state that all public opinion surveys, which are conducted by other political parties and non-governmental organizations, show an increase in trust support for the BS policy.
"Of course, everyone has the right to different political thinking and we have always propagated pluralism in the party. We will certainly confirm our strength and support in the time ahead, first at the elections in Gusinje on September 15", said BS.
The party led by Ervin Ibrahimović has been part of the Government since the end of July Milojko Spajić, in which she received one vice-presidential and five ministerial posts. This was met with numerous criticisms from former members of the party, former coalition partners, but also from members of the Bosniak Council, which also includes members of the BS.
Longtime former BS officials recently founded the Bosniak Democratic Movement (BDP), which, as the founders announced, will focus on the interests of the Bosniak people in Montenegro.
A long-time BS official and a member of the current convocation of the Bosniak Council in Montenegro was elected president of the movement Sead Shahman, who criticized the work of BS since Ibrahimović was the head of that party.
"Today we want to present a new Bosniak project that is superior to what Bosniaks had as an option. Twenty-five young and educated people said 'no in our name'. BS trampled our ideals. A good part of us was a member of BS, and a part was never a member of the party", said Šahman during the presentation of the movement.
He pointed out that they see this story not as an alternative to BS, but as the number one option among the Bosniak population.
"What we are doing today is the call of Bosniaks and the diaspora who say that their interests have not been affirmed in the right way. We see this country as civil and multi-ethnic," Šahman said.
The current vice-president of the Bosniak Council and former funkiconer of BS, doctor, specialist in the field of radiology is also in the movement. Bejto Šahmanović. And he has recently spoken critically about the work of the BS leadership.
In the new Bosniak movement, he is also a long-time official of BS and former president of the Beran committee of that party Errol Rastoder, who also advocated changes within BS.
Among the founders of the new entity are an official of the executive board of the Bosniak Council in Montenegro, a historian Admir Adrović, as well as the current president of the Islamic community in Gusinje, a doctor Said Čekić.
