The Serbian movement Dveri announced that it supports today's protest in Belgrade against lithium mining and said that Russia must not unilaterally look at the political events in Serbia and constantly take the side of the current government.
"The messages that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia receives from its embassy in Belgrade regarding the protests throughout Serbia are incorrect, since the majority of Serbian residents are against lithium mining, and many politicians who sympathize with Russia participate in the protests," said the chairman of the Dveri Transitional Administration, Ivan Kostić. .
He stated that Russia and its Ministry of Foreign Affairs are making the same mistake they made with Montenegro 20 years ago" and added: "Today they publicly defend Aleksandar Vučić through their media in Serbia both when they should and when they shouldn't, just like once defended Milo Đukanović, who later turned against Russian politics".
"Official Moscow should look at political events in Serbia through the prism of the interests of the Serbian people, because if Serbia remains sovereign, it will also benefit our friendly Russian people," Kostić said.
