The President of the Democratic People's Party (DNP), Milan Knežević, commented on the constant postponement of the publication of the final results of the population census in Montenegro, that this process is expected from 2023 and that he is beginning to suspect that the problem is that some people are not satisfied with the number The number of Serbs in the country has increased compared to the previous census and that Serbian is the majority language, writes Kosovo Online.
Knežević pointed out that Monstat, the authority responsible for official statistics in Montenegro, constantly publishes new reasons why the results have not yet been published.
"I expect until 2033, and when Monstat expects them, you have to ask them, since they announced that it will be in the first six months, so now we are already halfway through the eighth month. They are constantly telling us that they have problems with those tenders , software and codes," said Knežević.
Kosovo online states that Knežević noted ironically that the population census would have been completed "manually" in India or Pakistan by now and that the problems with the software are just excuses.
"I repeat once again that if we had organized a census in India and Pakistan, they would have been counted by hand by now, but here in Montenegro we cannot be counted, and I am beginning to suspect that the problem here is that the number of Serbs has increased compared to the previous census and that the majority language in Montenegro is Serbian. And that seems to be a problem for someone to publish the results so that the other side does not announce that it is dissatisfied and that this is the path to the occupation of Montenegro," Knežević pointed out.
He stated that because of those who would be dissatisfied with the results, other citizens of Montenegro are waiting in vain for the "software to work".
"It is precisely because they are dissatisfied that we are waiting for software like Vladimir and Estragon were waiting for Godo", concluded Knežević.
