"There were also stories that we were going to tear off Ervin Ibrahimović's (president of BS) head and force him to grow a beard. Now DPS is left alone. There is no longer talk that they are a magnet for national minorities, and we are working and doing everything to bring them closer together. Montenegro on the European path," said Knežević.
Commenting on the DPS deputies, Knežević said during a guest appearance on Aplus television that the party is a convincing marginalized opposition.
"They even started to copy me in fashion details. I see that Mr. Andrija Nikolić took off his tie, and so did the other DPS MPs. They started following me, seeing how I'm progressing in the parliament. Now I don't need to do anything anymore." said Knežević in his own style.
Knežević said that the Bosniak Party left the DPS and that the party is now "screaming in despair".
"At the moment, they seem completely scattered, they are lost and they don't know how to set up their political maneuver. They are a lost political army," he said.
Asked whether a large coalition will be formed that will include the Evropa Sad Movement (PES), DNP, and the Democrats, Knežević said that there is a possibility of a broad coalition, but he will not be disappointed if no agreement is reached.
"We already have a prepared program and election platform. But the idea was to defend October 2022, that is, the period before handing over the mandate in Podgorica. But that was not the idea of the coalition ZBCG (For the Future of Montenegro). Otherwise, the story is about to that large coalition, it did not come from the coalition for the future of Montenegro, but from some other colleagues. I would not announce that publicly now," he said.
When asked whether the Bosniak Party will be excluded from this story, Knežević said that he is not excluding anyone, but he is not including either.
"The creation of that coalition does not depend on us. I will not go into a coalition with Duško Marković's party, with DPS and their standard coalition partners," answered Knežević.
The elections in Podgorica are a big test for Spajić
Knežević believes that the announced elections in Podgorica will be a big test for Prime Minister Milojko Spajić.
"He is most under attack. You also saw that the mandate of the Assembly of the Capital City was restored immediately after the reconstruction of the Government," remarked Knežević.
"I am not interested in positions in the government, I have delegated quality people"
Knežević also said in the show that he is not interested in any positions in the reconstructed Government.
"With the entry of the DNP into the government, I want that party to realize its election program and ideology, and it is much more important for me to achieve my political goal through party work. Either through the elections in Podgorica, or through challenging day-to-day political situations," he said.
Knežević said that he is the only leader from the parliamentary majority who has not taken any position in the government.
"I am satisfied because I delegated quality people to Maja Vukićević and Milun Zogović," Knežević said during a guest appearance on Aplus television.
Monstat knows the results of the census, but will not disclose them
Commenting on the subject of the population census in Montenegro, Knezevic said that it is "a mystery like the Bermuda Triangle".
"I think Monstat knows the results of the census, but they don't want to announce them. According to the unofficial information I have, the number of Serbs in Montenegro has increased compared to the previous census, and the Serbian language is overwhelmingly the majority," Knežević claims.
I am not asking for dual citizenship only for citizens of Serbia
Knežević said in a show on Aplus television that by insisting on dual citizenship, he wants to correct numerous anomalies in the Montenegrin Constitution.
"I don't know why there is such hysteria that we want to change someone's blood type and voter list. I am asking for dual citizenship for all people who have Montenegrin roots, not only for people who live in Serbia, and they cannot vote outside the legal framework." , he pointed out.
He reminded that 300.000 citizens of Montenegrin origin who do not have Montenegrin citizenship live in Serbia.
"I don't understand why it is scandalous and criminal to ask for dual citizenships for them. The president of the parliament even talked to the Turkish diaspora about it," Knežević said.
Novović should listen to Milović
Knežević believes that the chief special prosecutor Vladimir Novović should listen to the former Minister of Justice Andrej Milović because of the claims he made in the previous days in public.
"He left the political framework a little and transferred to the prosecutorial and judicial sphere," Knežević said.
