The Democratic People's Party (DNP) will participate in the local elections in Podgorica with traditional coalition partners, announced the president of that party, Milan Knežević.
The party announced that a session of the Municipal Board was held yesterday, which, they said, marked the formal entry into the pre-election campaign for the elections in Podgorica scheduled for September 29.
"During the meeting, DNP leader Milan Knežević addressed the audience and confirmed that DNP will participate in the elections with traditional coalition partners, expressing firm belief that this alliance will achieve the best result in the elections," the announcement reads.
The announcement adds that DNP "unlike many seasonal phenomena on the political scene in previous years, has shown and proved that we stick to our principles and our word, which is why we have successfully passed the test of time, and that our work and results so far give us the right to do so." expectation".
"The DNP and the ZBCG coalition remain open to the broadest coalition that would defend the results from 2022, when the DPS was convincingly defeated, but we do not agree to be hostages to the struggle that is taking place these days in some parties, and it refers to the senseless race of who will be the holder lists. And while others are competing in their own ranks, the results will show that we are the strongest in Podgorica, because the citizens know who has never let them down and has not subordinated their interest to the eternal interest of the armchairs," the DNP press release points out.
It is stated that in addition to Knežević, the meeting was attended by Vice President Milun Zogović, Vice President Maja Vukićević, President of the Political Council Predrag Bulatović and President of the Municipal Board Vladimir Bulatović.
