At the end of 2023, members of the Government owed a total of 693.106,39 euros based on loans, while last year's salary of a middle-aged member of the Government was around 1.800 euros, according to reports on the income and assets of public officials for 2023 published on the website of the Agency for the Prevention of Corruption ( ASK).
On average, a member of the Government ended last year with 22.358,27 euros in loan debt.
Public officials are obliged by law to declare their property and the income of their household members by the end of March of the current year for the previous year.
The prime minister and seven ministers do not have loans, while the report for one is not yet available
At the end of last year, only the Minister of Sports and Youth had a six-figure debt Dragoslav Šcekić, and the Minister of Health Vojislav Šimun.
Šćekić and his household members ended the previous year with a debt of 111.082,68 euros, of which 23.937,22 euros were in the name of his wife. During 2023, the Minister of Sports and Youth paid off his debts for one cash loan, and he is still paying off one housing loan, as well as the insurance for which he has to pay a little less than 10.000 euros.
At the end of the year, Šimun's credit debt amounted to 121.457,07 euros.
Minister of Diaspora Ernad Suljević owes a total of 72.671,05 euros and he is repaying three loans, while his party leader and deputy prime minister for international relations and minister of foreign affairs Ervin Ibrahimovic together with the members of the household, he has a debt of slightly more than 60.000 euros based on a loan, of which his wife is paying off about 40.000.
Filip Radulović, the Minister of Maritime Affairs, is paying off the housing loan, of which he still has a little less than 2023 euros left at the end of 62.000, while the Minister of Justice Bojan Božović with the members of the household closed the year with a little less than 52.000 euros in loan debt.
Minister of European Affairs Maida Gorcevic on December 31, she owed a little more than 28.000 euros in housing loan debt, and the Minister of Education, Science and Innovation also owed a similar amount Anđela Jakšić Stojanović together with the members of his household.

Both pay off cash loans.
Ministry of tourism Simonida Kordić had two cash loans in the previous year, and ended the year with a debt of slightly more than 20.000 euros.
When it comes to the Minister of the Interior, Danilo Šaranović, at the end of the year, he had 321,75 euros in debt, but his wife had 17.770,00 euros in debt. She is paying off a cash loan of 20.000 euros, while Šaranović's debt represents the purchase in installments of something that cost 594 euros and will be repaid during this year.
Minister of Diaspora Mirsad Azemović he had no debts at the end of last year, but his wife still had to pay off another 12.400,00 consumer loan.
The earliest loan can be started Novica Vuković. The Minister of Finance took a loan in 2009 and will repay it within a year from the date of submission of the report. To repay this housing loan, Vuković still had 4.376,45 euros of debt, and besides that, he also has a cash loan for which he needs to pay 7.808,91 euros.
Seven members of the Government ended the year 2023 with debts of up to 10.000 euros.
Minister of Ecology, Sustainable Development and Development of the North Damjan Ćulafić he finished last year with one refinancing loan for which he still had to pay 8.000 euros, and the Minister of Transport Maja Vukićević with two cash ones for which she had to repay a little more than 7.000 euros.
At the end of 2023, the Deputy Prime Minister for Infrastructure and Regional Development Milun Zogović had two active consumer loans and a total debt for them of 5.815 euros. According to the data from the report, the repayment deadline for one of Zogović's two loans is April 30 of this year.
Deputy Prime Minister for Foreign and European Affairs Filip Ivanovic on December 31, he owed 4.766,49 from a cash loan he took out last August.
The balance of the consumer loan of the Minister of Labour, Employment and Social Dialogue Naide Nišić was 3.500 euros, and the Deputy Prime Minister for the Political System, Justice and Anti-Corruption Moma Koprivica slightly more than 3.000 euros. He is paying off two consumer loans, while he has 48,50 euros of debt left for purchasing in installments. If there has been no reprogramming since the report was submitted, one loan and repayment in installments should have been completed in June.
And the Deputy Prime Minister for Security, Defense, Fighting Crime and Internal Policy Aleksa Becic reported the purchase in installments, for which he owed a little more than 1.500 euros. He had four debts on this basis, and according to the repayment plan, three should be concluded in 2024.
Deputy Prime Minister for Education, Science and Relations with Religious Communities Budimir Aleksic did not borrow money in the previous year, but settled one debt that started in 2019.
For a minister without portfolio Milutin Butorović no information has yet been published on the ASK website, but the deadline for submitting the report of 30 days from the assumption of office has not yet expired.
For the other members of the Government who became such after the reconstruction, the data is available because they held public functions even before that. The current Minister of Justice, Bojan Božović, was the State Secretary in the Ministry of Justice, Human and Minority Rights, while the others were MPs.
The current government was formed in October last year after the parliamentary elections held in June. He was elected prime minister Milojko Spajic from the Europe Now Movement, and in addition to his party, the representatives of the Democrats, the Socialist People's Party, CIVIS and Albanian minority parties also entered the executive power. After the reconstruction, the parties of the former Democratic Front, i.e. the Bosniak Party, also got seats in the Government.
The prime minister and seven ministers have no reported debts
Prime Minister Milojko Spajić, Minister of Social Care, Family Care and Demography Damir Gutić, Minister of Culture and Media Tamara Vujović and Minister of Spatial Planning, Urbanism and State Property Slaven Radunović had no registered credit at the end of 2023.
Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management Vladimir Joković, Minister of Energy Saša Mujović, Minister of Mining, Oil and Gas Admir Šahmanović, as well as Minister of Human and Minority Rights Fatmir Đeka welcomed this year "without a minus".
