DPS Bijelo Polje: Kotrel followed and financed the promotion of the submission of the list of local PES

During the Europe Now Movement (PES) campaign in Bijelo Polje, together with his team, George Cottrell monitored and financed the promotion of the submission of the list of the local PES in that municipality during the local elections in 2022, it was announced from the Municipal Committee of the Democratic Party of Socialists (DPS) Bijelo Field.

They said that the Montenegrin public was once again shaken by the information from the, until recently, unique PES that the team of George Kotrel, a person convicted of money laundering, extortion and blackmail in the USA, participated in the creation of the campaign and submission of the list for the local elections in Bijelo Polje.

"George Cottrell is a person who, apart from criminal acts, is known to the public as the owner of the first crypto-currency purchase machine in Montenegro, and according to the British 'The Guardian', he illegally financed the PES political campaign," the announcement states.

The DPS says that the question arises as to what kind of future awaits the citizens of Bijelo Polje in the arms of the criminal mafia, which "forged the fate of that city on yachts in Luštica and Porto Montenegro".

"It is worrisome that the local PES in Bijelo Polje does not distance itself from accusations of cooperation with a man who is linked to dirty business, for which he has been legally convicted. Is it a question of keeping silent about cooperation that resulted in generous individual benefits, so it is the price of their silence and doing business with people from the criminal milieu, we leave it to the citizens to judge," the announcement reads.

They said that it is obvious that "behind the pathos served to the public about 'worn sneakers from kindergarten to college' and 'blueberry picking' are serious crypto fraudsters".

"While PES officials and their partners cooperate with global crypto fraudsters, behind the scenes of pathetic performances on the political stage, a deep socio-economic crisis is hidden, which, thanks to PES and partners, awaits the citizens of Montenegro this fall," it concludes.
