The list "For a better Podgorica - Jakov Milatović" submitted signatures of support to the Election Commission of the Capital City, in anticipation of early local elections on September 29.
The list, which consists of the Movement for Podgorica (PzPG), the Civic Movement of the URA and the Movement for Change (PzP), is led by the official of the GP URA and the deputy mayor of Podgorica, Luka Rakčević.
Rakčević said that the list includes 59 people from different professions and that he believes that it will be "of the highest quality that citizens can round up".
"The list has over 40 percent of women. I believe that after the election, these people will be able to help the city with their knowledge and experience. I think that this list won through dedication and participation, it remains for us to see the results of the competitors," he said.
When asked by journalists whether he would cooperate with the Democratic Party of Socialists, Rakčević did not directly answer whether or not he would join a post-election coalition with that party.
"No one can scare us with DPS like some bastard, because they have been defeated in the last few cycles," he said.
"Let's see what the competition has to offer. I think we are ahead of them programmatically," he said.
Rakčević did not answer whether he will join the coalition with the Europe Movement after the election and added that he would wait to see their program. He pointed out that the holder of that list, Saša Mujović, never raised his voice against the demolition of the "Kultura" cinema, the concreting of Gorica, never spoke out about the problems of Podgorica...
Councilor candidate Anika Bajić (PzP) said that they felt that, after a turbulent period, it was only fair to return the mandate to the citizens.
He reminds that PzP, PzPG and URA have signed a memorandum and it is certain, he says, that they will perform together.
"Our list is made up of exceptional people. Our campaign will be positive, the program will be excellent, citizens will know to recognize and give trust," she told reporters after handing over the list.
Councilor candidate Balša Špadijer (PzPG) said that it is a list of professionals who are ready to work for the capital.
"We have a candidate, Luka Rakčević, whom we believe knows the best of the situation in the capital based on his many years of experience as an alderman. We would like to thank the thousands of people who signed our support. I believe that this list will achieve the best result in the elections," he said.
The presentation of the list was also attended by the acting director of Podgorica's "Čistoća", Denis Hot, who recently left the Evropa Sad Movement.
