The Deputy Prime Minister for Foreign and European Affairs, Filip Ivanović, will participate in the international conference Bled Strategic Forum, which will be held at the beginning of next week.
As announced by the Government, Ivanovic will participate in the conference in Bled at the invitation of the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign and European Affairs of Slovenia, Tanja Fajon.
"It is planned that Ivanović, as part of the Forum organized this year under the title "World of Parallel Realities", will participate in the panel "Europe United and Free: Renewed Commitment to European Solidarity", the announcement states.
It is added that the participation of Ivanović will serve as an opportunity to emphasize the importance of Montenegro's future membership in the European Union (EU), as well as to additionally emphasize its commitment to the values and interests of the Union.
According to the announcement, Ivanovic will also attend an informal meeting of foreign ministers and special envoys for the Western Balkans, and will also have numerous bilateral meetings on the sidelines of the Forum.
The Government said that it is planned that, in the opening part of the conference, the president of that country, Nataša Pirc Musar, Fajon and the Secretary General of the BSF, Peter Grk, will speak on behalf of the Slovenian side.
It is added that the presence of the President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, as well as the Secretary General of the OSCE, Helga Maria Šmid, is expected.
The Bled Strategic Forum (BSF) is an international conference that has been continuously held in Bled, Slovenia, since 2006 and brings together leading world politicians, experts, diplomats, academics and business leaders to discuss the most important global and regional issues.
Key topics include international security, economic development, sustainability and human rights, and the BSF functions as an important platform for encouraging dialogue and finding solutions to contemporary challenges.
