The new government in Andrijevica has been agreed upon, and the new head of the local parliament will be Vesko Raketić from the civic list "Vasojevićki pokret utijenjanja", which won one mandate, while Željko Ćulafić from the Socialist People's Party (SNP) will remain in the position of first man of the municipality.
This was confirmed by Raketić to "Vijesti".
As he added, at the meeting held last night, the two most important functions in the municipality were agreed upon, while negotiations on the details of the coalition agreement are still ongoing.
Raketić was proposed as the president of the municipal assembly by 13 councilors at the session held on August 28, but then a break was given and the session will continue when the final details of the agreement are agreed upon.
DPS will remain in the opposition with 11 and the civic list "For the future of our children" with three councilors.
In the local elections held on June 2, the Democratic Party of Socialists (DPS) won 11 mandates, the list of the SNP and Democrats won eight, PES won four, and the list "For the Future of Andrijevica" (NSD, Democratic People's Party, Prava Montenegro and Free Montenegro) and "For the future of our children" for three mandates each, and the Vasojević unification movement for one.
During the negotiations on the formation of the government, two citizen's lists, at least one of which was necessary for the formation of the government, demanded that the mayor of the municipality not be from the SNP-Democrat coalition, while, later, they also offered the option of rotation, i.e. that the coalition should get the position of the first man of the municipality, but not to appoint Ćulafić to that position.
