The Democratic Party of Socialists (DPS) submitted its list for the upcoming local elections in the capital.
As they said, 10.000 signatures were collected.
DPS will perform independently under the slogan "In word and deed – Dr. Nermin Abdić".
After handing over the list, Abdić said that they were on it good and quality people, and what makes it special is that 50 percent of it is women.
"As a native of Podgorica who carries this city in his heart and soul, I want to say that in all the places where we met, I am honored and honored that they made me privileged to lead the list and this city. What I can say on behalf of everyone of these people is that our fellow citizens know what they are up to. We are going to do something good for our fellow citizens. We have seen from what the citizens of Podgorica say that the city is not functioning properly," said Abdić.
He added that they want Podgorica to be the epicenter of sports events, an administrative center and a tourist city.
"As the first among equals, I promise you that no one will need to warn us that we are not doing something right. We must be with the citizens of Podgorica 24 hours a day. We will not do unprincipled things. We want to hear criticism, suggestions in every part of Podgorica. What I can say for sure , we experience Podgorica with a lot of love. Podgorica cannot be run by people who do not feel it with their heart and soul," said Abdić.
When asked by a journalist with whom he sees cooperation, Abdić said that their armchair will not be ahead of the interests of the citizens.
"We strive for development, for Podgorica to be an example. Whoever wants that will be our partner," he said.
He added that the DPS overthrew the government after 100 days, and that they were up to their seats, so that the government would "continue to last".
Answering the question of a Vijesti journalist, how he sees the sentence of the holder of the "Jakov Milatović - For a better Podgorica" list Luka Rakčević that no one should be intimidated by the DPS, Abdić said that for many people anti-DPS is the only program, and that the talk about the DPS as an undesirable partner is not they drink water.
Local elections in Podgorica are scheduled for September 29.
