The possibility of Montenegro becoming a member of the European Union in 2028 is realistic, said the special representative of the European Union for the dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina and other regional issues of the Western Balkans, Miroslav Lajčak.
On the sidelines of the Bled Strategic Forum, he spoke with the Vice President of the Government of Montenegro for Foreign and European Affairs, Filipa Ivanovića.
According to the announcement, Ivanović thanked Lajčak for his continuous efforts to affirm the European future of the Western Balkans and added that Montenegro remains fully committed to fulfilling its obligations from the European agenda.
