The coalition "Even stronger - Dr. Saša Mujović", consisting of the Democrats and the Movement Europe, has now submitted signatures of support to the Municipal Election Commission (MEC).
The handover was attended by party leaders Milojko Spajić and Aleksa Bečić, as well as Minister of the Interior Danilo Saranović, MPs Boris Pejović, Miloš Pižurica, Boris Bogdanović...
"I will be a candidate for mayor and I don't want to adorn myself with epithets that I am the best, but I am sure that the people I lead are ready to work uncompromisingly for the benefit of the citizens of Podgorica and that they are ready to solve problems. If we achieved respectable results in the government, raised salaries and pensions , if the security sector is in the fight against crime, I have the credibility to say that we are ready to tackle and solve the problems of this city," Mujović said after handing over the list.
He added that he knows that there is a feeling of satiety, but that there is no right to abstain "because these elections concern all of us".
"Podgorica should be a bastion of free thought. If you think I am worthy to be the first among equals, support us," Mujović said.
Asked if he was ready to cooperate with those who overthrew the government, he said that he would wait for the elections to end, and that he was focused on the campaign and the allies he was fighting with.
He added that the only coalition that is impossible "is with the DPS".
"I also believe that those who until now have been in power in Podgorica and made life miserable for Olivera Injac do not deserve to be partners, and if I were to ask, I would cross them immediately," he said.
Minister of the Interior Danilo Šaranović, who is also on the electoral list, said that they gathered to prevent Podgorica "from being a field for anyone's political bribery".
"Podgorica leaves no room for wasting time. We have people for results, and those people are on our list led by a great man and top professional Saša Mujović, who will be the future mayor," Saranović said.
Bečić said that a "strong, patriotic coalition" was formed.
"Unlike multi-practice coalitions, where one man knows everything, here we have a team of people. We always work as a team, there will be an exceptional team of people behind Saša. One political irresponsibility has led to extraordinary elections. Help us defeat blackmail politics. Podgorica needs stabilization "This is why we have joined together. These are two related groups that bring together people of all faiths. The hand of justice has never stopped. We are not capable of fighting, we are looking to the future."
Spajić said that just three days after the election, the average salary will be 1.000 euros.
"Saša is the minister of energy and good energy. We have great cohesion and this is the recipe for Montenegro's success," Spajić said.
