13 lists for participation in the local elections were submitted to the Election Commission of the Capital City, said the President of the Commission, Vladimir Filipović, stating that eight have been confirmed so far.
Filipović told the MINA agency that the deadline for submitting the list expired last night at midnight.
"Of the 13 sheets, eight have been confirmed so far, two have been sent back for revision due to the lack of an adequate number of signatures," said Filipović.
As he explained, the "Montenegro European Party - Novak Adžić" and Podgorica Tenant Movement "Our City - Our Home" lists were returned for revision.
Filipović said that the three lists submitted yesterday are currently being processed, adding that he expects to have information about their validity tonight.
Electoral lists were submitted yesterday by the Bosniak Party, the coalition of the Movement Europe Now and Democratic Montenegro, as well as the coalition "For the Future of Podgorica".
The list of the Bosniak Party, which acts independently, is led by Edin Tuzović, the coalition of the Europe Now Movement and Democratic Montenegro is headed by Saša Mujović.
The coalition "For the future of Podgorica" consisting of New Serbian Democracy, Democratic People's Party, Socialist People's Party, United Montenegro, Workers' Party, Free Montenegro and True Montenegro is led by Jelena Borovinić Bojović.
The lists were previously submitted by the Democratic Party of Socialists led by Nermin Abdić, the Podgorica List of Andrej Milović, the Party of European Progress led by Duško Marković, headed by Ilija Mugoš.
The lists were also submitted by the European Union headed by Boris Mugoša, the Turn Movement led by Srđan Perić and the Forward Movement by Vuk Kadić.
The coalition "Za bolju Podgorica Jakov Milatović", consisting of the Movement for Podgorica, the Civic Movement URA and the Movement for Changes, led by Luka Rakčević, as well as the Montenegrin Civil Action led by Stanko Đuričić, submitted lists to the electoral commission.
