Montenegro and Cuba, although geographically distant, nurture friendly relations, further strengthened through mutual support on the multilateral level, it was assessed at the meeting of the Minister of Foreign Affairs Ervin Ibrahimović with the Cuban Ambassador to Montenegro Lejde Ernesto Rodríguez Hernández.
As announced by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, readiness for further strengthening of cooperation in areas of mutual interest was highlighted at the meeting.
Ibrahimović thanked Hernandez for his contribution to strengthening bilateral ties and pointed out that there is an interest in intensifying the political dialogue between the two countries, primarily through the organization of political consultations, as well as high-level meetings.
Hernandez emphasized that good relations with Montenegro are very important for Cuba, bearing in mind the great potential for deepening cooperation, especially in the fields of economy, culture and tourism.
He added that the number of Cuban citizens visiting Montenegro is growing every year.
