It is unacceptable and scandalous to talk about the Islamization of Podgorica, because those who act like that do not think well of either Podgorica or Montenegro, said Edin Tuzović, chairman of the board of the Bosniak Party in the capital.
He was reacting to a column published by certain portals under the title "Concert for Nermin: Islamization of Podgorica?".
"This kind of hate speech is unacceptable. It was always a rule in Podgorica that we were all proud of the history of our city, it was always the sevdalinka from Podgorica that united us, and was never the point of separation. Only together can we build Podgorica for all of us," Tuzović announced.
He emphasized that he will always advocate and remain dedicated to the idea of Podgorica being multi-ethnic, multi-confessional, "the Podgorica of all of us".
"I have neither the intention nor the need to talk about the foundation of Nermin Abdić and any other citizen of Podgorica in Podgorica, but I must point out that denying the right of any citizen of Podgorica to hold any position in this city is fascism, which the majority of Podgorica knew that he says stop whenever he needs to and regardless of the price," Tuzović concluded.
