The Bosniak Democratic Movement (BDP) condemned the "fascist attack" on Nermin Abdić, the holder of the list of the Democratic Party of Socialists (DPS) for the elections in Podgorica, through the column "Concert for Nermin: Islamization of Podgorica?", which was transmitted by the Borba portal through the section "Other they write".
"Although Dr. Abdić declares himself a Montenegrin of the Islamic faith, for the Borba journalist he is a national minority (read: less important) and intimately, like the members of the ruling elite, he probably calls him a 'Turk', and as such he should not be allowed to even think that he can manage 'Orthodox Podgorica'. The Islamophobic text of the Borba journalist best shows the state of society in which we find ourselves and of the ruling elite, for which there is no longer a civil Montenegro," said BDP founder Anis Šabotić.
He says that this kind of behavior and texts speak of "the so-called reconciliation of society in which the good Bosniaks and Muslims" are only those who "keep silent and support the downfall of their own people, as the current ministers (for something we don't have) from the ruling Bosniak party are doing."
"After all, the common slogan for the Podgorica elections of the coalition partners from the state level of the Bosniak Party and the ex-DF says a lot about the strong alliance of the two current and future partners," adds Šabotić.
He says that it was the representatives of the Bosniak Party who, by joining the reconstructed Government, "became the most valuable builders and supporters of the 'Serbian World'".
"As a doctor and as a human being, I call on our fellow doctors to clearly condemn the attacks on Dr. Abdić, because the election campaign will pass, and we have to live after September 29," concludes Šabotić.
