Holder of the list "In word and deed!" Nermin Abdić said that it must never happen again "that ignorant people run Podgorica and certain systems in the capital".
He said this at the presentation of DPS councilor candidates for the local elections in Podgorica scheduled for September 29.
"These behind me are all accomplished and good people. People with whom one can only move forward. We want to return Podgorica to the glory it deserves. We want to see Podgorica as an administrative center and as a center of sports and cultural events. We want to be at your service to the citizens 24 hours a day and to hear every praise and criticism. We want to work hard, honestly and with honor. I want to do this job honestly when we take over the government. First of all, we feel Podgorica with our heart and soul," said Abdić.
He added that Podgorica has always been a city of European and civic orientation and a city where neighbors call each other brother.
"Podgorica has always been a city where no one was ever divided into who belongs to which religion or nation. In Podgorica we were always the same".
Abdić pointed out that Podgorica must once again be a city of free and smiling people, accomplished in their professions, and that the city administration must once again be a place that gathers professionals.
"It must never happen again that ignorant people run Podgorica and certain systems in the capital city".
Abdić, it was reported from the DPS, said that one can hear from some these days that he will not be with the DPS.
"Why don't you? So you won't be with Maša Šturanović, Ksenija Aranitović, Maja Miročević-Rotolo, Andrija Klikovec? These are the people who will lead the Capital City system tomorrow and I promise them that from this place tonight".
According to the press release, Abdić also referred to the text that appeared on the Borba portal last night.
"Since we have been in the center of attention these past few days, I will answer them tonight with wonderful verses that we must have all learned: 'Our old people say, Let your face shine, Good people do not divide, Hello, Podgorica!' Long live and long live Montenegro,'" said Abdić.
