The President of Montenegro, Jakov Milatović, said at the presentation of the election program of the list "For a better Podgorica - Jakov Milatović" that today the citizens will see an exceptional plan for the development of the city.
Milatović said that the candidates for councilors will present key projects and policy measures that concern children, parents, pensioners, employees and the unemployed in Podgorica. He pointed out that a website will be presented through which citizens will learn more about it.
Mayoral candidate Luka Rakčević, presenting the program, said that in the first 100 days, he will introduce 50 percent of subsidies for the extended stay of children for the first three grades. They are also planning help for pregnant women through a basket of domestic products, provision of baskets in every quarter of the city, free transportation for pensioners, opening of a cinema in KIC "Budo Tomović" and purchase of 50 new buses.
He pointed out that they are preparing the construction of the eastern stand of the stadium under Gorica, next to which there will be an underground garage. Rakčević said that in the first 100 days, the reconstruction of Jusovača will begin.
After that, they plan to submit the preparation of documentation to the Government for the construction of new kindergartens and schools, and a health center.
"Podgorica has no time to wait," he said.
Rakčević pointed out that he will introduce the measure Stan for all.
He said that they are planning to solve traffic problems through the introduction of new buses and new lines bike sharing system and adaptable traffic lights with Al technology and the construction of nine underground garages.
Rakčević said that underground garages will be built in Block 5, on Božana Vučinić Square, in City Quarter, on Golootočki žrtava Square, near the Podgorica Hotel, the east stand of the stadium, behind Simpo, the Clinical Center and behind Bek.
He pointed out that they are also planning a large day center for people with developmental disabilities, as well as a contemporary art museum-house of architecture and a natural history museum at the Morača barracks.
Rakčević said that their idea is for the city to get at least 15 new murals a year.
When it comes to green areas, he pointed out that they plan for every part of the city to get a new park, and for urban gardens to be in all parts of the city.
He pointed out that he will make it possible for every parent to plant a tree for their newborn in the Park of the Future.
The plan also includes a city flower shop, a new viewpoint, mobile markets in different parts of the city, a large solar power plant at the Zelenila nursery...
Rakčević said that they are planning the final valorization of Duklja, the museum of Titograd in the house of Blaž Jovanović, the museum of Uroš Tošković on Pelevo brije.
In the sports section, he said that, among other things, they are planning to build a new city swimming pool.
Candidate for councilor Nađa Ljiljanić said that the program envisages subsidies of 50 percent for the extended stay of students in the first three grades of elementary school, which will take care of 7.000 children.
She pointed out that they want all children in Podgorica to have one free meal.
Councilor candidate Balša Špadijer said that the western ring road is an urgent need of the city, and that the plan includes works on Vojislavljević Boulevard, an overpass or underpass between Baston and Stari aerodrome, and the completion of Veljko Vlahović Boulevard.
He pointed out that they are planning fast charging stations for electric cars in all parts of the city, the completion of works on the City Theater building, to valorize "Podgoričanka" in the city center.
He pointed out that the plan includes the Ljubović project with a new promenade, a new children's resort on Veruša, the arrangement of a new cemetery and a cemetery for pets.
