While the authorities of Zeta and Podgorica are fighting over whether construction will start in September or October and who knows what year and whether the collector will be in the planned or changed location, the Government is watching this problem unabashedly, and the residents of Zeta are suffering the consequences of an environmental disaster of ever-increasing proportions. indicated by all relevant environmental experts from the country, it was announced from the Municipal Committee of the Democratic Party of Socialists (DPS) Zeta.
They said that there is obviously no solution, so that the collector as a topic is relevant only before the elections, and the problem is 365 days a year.
"The capacities and technology of the Podgorica collector were exceeded more than 20 years ago, so untreated sewage waste flows into Morač every day, which eventually ends up in the underground water and finally in Lake Skadar, where tourists and residents of the surrounding settlements 'enjoy' the benefits of the inaction of the unscrupulous authorities, and there is no agreement regarding construction or some other location," the announcement states.
"The government in Zeta abuses the residents of Botun whenever this issue is brought up by pushing them to the forefront and supporting those statements that they themselves put their mouths to say. They often threaten to overthrow the government in Podgorica just to sharpen the discourse a little, but nothing comes of it, proverbially because armchairs are dear to everyone. No one should tell them the truth that for the health of that region, the construction of a collector is urgently needed, in any location, but as soon as possible," it added.
DPS Zeta points out that according to the same principle as they behaved towards the grit unloaded on the slope of the Cijevna river in the vicinity of the asphalt base of the company "Putevi doo" "which for the authorities in Zeta until yesterday were the biggest polluters, and today are an acceptable business entity that has all the ecological consent, convincing the public of Zeta that everything is fine and that the communal 'taxi' inspection was convinced of the non-existent findings of CETI".
They said that such "harmless" grit was removed from that location overnight.
"Exactly, in the same, if not worse, way they treat this current and much more important issue! On the other hand, the 'best' director in the history of the waterworks is raising water prices for the second time this year to try to cover the huge losses that the product of obvious ignorance and lack of understanding in that position. The increase in prices is of course also reflected on the citizens of Zeta, considering that the current government in Zeta has done nothing to take ownership of the water supply system, which was created to be independent from that of Podgorica the mayor of Injac should not pull the trigger and start either implementing a project for which the EU allocated significant funds or choosing a new location," the announcement reads.
"Zdravlje Zećana is on a long waiting list, longer than any for a specialist examination at the KBC, but we are afraid that no one cares about it. The solution to this problem will await some more determined and competent people who will not make rotten compromises with daily politics and a handful votes", it concludes.
