The Association of Tenants of Montenegro - Moj dom called on citizens to build a society that "will truly serve all of us, not just politicians".
"Promising buses, trucks, airplanes in the 21st century, talking about collectors, justice and honesty, and now suddenly remembering vulnerable categories of citizens, schools, kindergartens and parks - all this is nothing but empty rhetoric. The same promises, recycled from the election in the elections, testify to political lack of ideas, to a comedy that offends the common sense of all of us. Calling citizens to support you for the umpteenth time on the basis of these same, old promises by the same old actors shows disrespect for our common future," it is stated in announcement.
They said that "political manipulations and empty promises" do not bring changes, but "only deeper frustration".
"And that is the only thing that such politicians can and will provide you. That is why we call on all citizens, especially tenants and the most vulnerable, to distance themselves from politics that has been using your vote for their own interests for too long. Your activism, if it is based on supporting such politics, it only gives legitimacy to those who care as much as the election campaign lasts. Do we really want to go through the same cycle of deception again, while the price of our civic naivety is getting bigger and bigger? It's time to show mature civic awareness, not to fall for old tricks and to build a society together that will truly serve all of us, not just politicians," the announcement states.
