Tenants Association: Ask yourself if politicians represent the citizens or themselves

Every citizen of Montenegro should ask themselves whether the politicians who lead the state and local parliaments represent us, our values, our struggle and everyday reality, or whether they represent themselves, announced the Association of Tenants of Montenegro - My Home.

"Dear citizens, imagine how many of today's politicians served in the army? How many of them grew up on working-class bread, in honest working-class families? How many of them got a job without 'catching a connection' and the tradition of 'from father to son' and how many of them fought daily to earn an honest living like us who work in supermarkets, gas stations, betting shops, tobacconists, markets, on the streets, in other people's houses as hygienists and baby sitters? There are so few of them, so few that we can count them on one hand. And it is these people who lead our country today, lead local parliaments and make key decisions that shape our lives. All thanks to you mentioned above," the statement said.

The question that everyone must ask themselves, they add, is "how did these people get into the position of deciding our fates".

"Every citizen of this country should ask themselves: do they really represent us, our values, our struggle and everyday reality, or do they represent themselves and perverted values? And for all of you who are still tenants, despite long-term loyalty to these people, it's time to ask yourself - why are you still living on the margins of this society without the right to live a dignified life? Do you really live the life you want for yourself and your family? these people want to convince us of their reality where everything is good and everything is flourishing. A reality they don't even believe in, but they are successfully imposing it on us," the statement concludes.
