Dragan Sošić, Preokret's candidate for councilor in the Assembly of the Capital City, said that the constant increase in the number of public officials in the local administration of the Capital City is not in the interest of the citizens of Podgorica, but only serves to satisfy party appetites.
According to him, in the future convocation of the local parliament, Preokret will advocate for the preparation of a needs analysis for the reorganization and optimization of the local administration bodies of the Capital City, in order to determine how the city administration can provide quality services to the citizens of Podgorica in the most efficient way and which organs are necessary to be part of it.
The organization of the local administration is now, adds Sošić, but also before, in many segments focused on personal promotion instead of more efficient performance of work and meeting the needs of the residents of Podgorica. Many leadership positions, he points out, are practically invented in order to reward party fighters for their political engagement.
"Thus, today we have the Service for Citizens, whose competence includes a large number of tasks that are normally performed by other local government bodies, such as the Service of the Chief Administrator. Ironically, in the job description of the Service for Citizens, the reception of citizens' requests is only in sixth place. The results of that The services are limited at best, so Preokret will insist that the said body be abolished and that the local government move to a more efficient way of communicating and cooperating with citizens, the model of which will be derived from an independent analysis of needs and defamation of deserving members, relatives, friends and godfathers, about which those who until recently made up the city government spoke openly. is to draw a line and reject practices that undermine institutions and undermine citizens' trust in politics, concludes Sošić.
