Podgorica is progressing despite the politicization of infrastructure projects by the Democratic Party of Socialists (DPS). The comments that come from the former regime, known for corruption, and with which they try to politicize important infrastructure projects such as solving the problem of wastewater treatment, do not contribute to the development of our city, announced the coalition "City of all of us - for the future of Podgorica" whose holder is list, the current president of the Municipal Assembly of the Capital City, Jelena Borovinić Bojović.
From that coalition, they said that they are solving long-standing problems and building a better future for everyone, and that the DPS "confirmed again that it has neither a policy nor a vision of the future for Podgorica, but only a desire to get hold of the city budget again".
"The big infrastructural problem related to wastewater treatment is an example and a clear confirmation that the former regime had neither a plan nor the capacity to deal with the real problems of the citizens of Podgorica. Our political culture and program for Podgorica is based on an agreement with citizens. The issue of wastewater treatment will be resolved between the capital city of Podgorica and the Municipality of Zeta, and in the interest of the residents of both municipalities. neither Podgorica nor Zeta, and that there are no injured parties in this process. This is in line with our vision - not to divide people into winners and losers," the statement said.
"The fact that we asphalted more kilometers in one year than DPS in four or more years clearly shows who worked in the interests of the citizens and who worked against them. We don't ask for the political commitment of the citizens when we restore the infrastructure - we work for the benefit of everyone. We asphalt entire streets, we are building sidewalks for all our fellow citizens, not just for the chosen ones," they said.
They pointed out that the "City of all of us - for the future of Podgorica" coalition is dedicated to creating a modern Podgorica that offers quality life.
"We are working to ensure that every part of our city is equally organized and clean. We opened the doors of the Capital City Assembly to everyone and returned Podgorica to its citizens," they added.
"We are talking and agreeing on how to solve the big problems left by the corrupt former government. We are building a strong and stable Podgorica - the city of all of us and we are determined to continue the work that will ensure that our city is a place where everyone wants to live, work and create future for yourself and your family," the announcement concludes.
